The MUSE™ Collaborative of healthcare are providers who will help practices learn from their data and learn from each other to excel in the evolving environment of healthcare transformation.

MUSE stands for:

  • MIPS (Merit-Based Incentive Payment System)
  • Meaningful Use
  • Specialized Registry
  • Exemplar

Recent MACRA legislation moves Medicare payment further along the path of value-based purchasing by establishing the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Under MIPS, it will no longer be enough to just report quality data — now performance counts. Penalties will reach as high as 9% under the new program.

With our in-depth knowledge of healthcare and health IT, the MUSE Collaborative will help practices plan and optimize reporting to thrive under the new rules of value-based payment reform.

The MUSE Collaborative will also serve as a Specialized Registry to receive data from member organizations about healthcare delivery and quality of care, helping them meet Meaningful Use Objective 10.

In addition, the MUSE Collaborative will:

  • Provide technical assistance to establish data flow
  • Build new data flow options to overcome member barriers
  • Facilitate building new measures to meet member needs
  • Provide continuous access to performance reports for supported measures
  • Submit quality data to Medicare as required
  • Facilitate meetings in a collaborative exchange among members

By joining the MUSE Collaborative, you will be positioned to meet the CMS requirements for active engagement with a Specialized Registry for Meaningful Use. MUSE membership will help you earn and maintain a competitive edge in Quality Tiering under the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
